Hello
Posted by Egilman on Friday, February 24, 2017 1:26 AM

Hi All, Very impressed with the level of skill and knowledge here.

Been a modeler all my life, (of course except when life interferes) but have been on extended hiatus for the last ten years or so. Just getting back into it and was looking for references for an H-13 when I found the site....

Based upon some info I read here I made my first trip to HL in a LOOONG time.

Paint, thinner, blades and brushes.

Everything a growing boy needs. (and has the wife worried)

Any way, my first post here, and first post on a plastic based forum in my life, Please I beg of you go easy..... {chuckle}

For all those years I've been painting the wrong color....Whistling

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard!

You've come to the right place. The members here are very helpful. When you ask a question, or have a problem, you'll get many different and helpful answers. Take them all in and try them until you find the one you like and works best for you. After all, that's the name of the game. You're here to enjoy the hobby.

I've been building for 70 of my 76 years and build whatever strikes my fancy, and my wallet says OK Wink. My favorites are WWI & WWII aircraft closely followed by Sailing Ships (as you can see by my avatar). But, you name it, and I've built it at one time or another. Since joining here, I have learned a lot and improved my skills thanks to the help I've received. I had built a Ju87G-2 many many years ago and it was sitting way back on the display shelves. I didn't even look at it but went out and bought the same kit, built it and then took the old one down off the shelf, dusted it off and compared the two.  Between filling seams, adding scratchbuilt extras and the paint job, I couldn't believe the difference. Nuf said.

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Still figuring out my way around the forum.

Interesting reading, I love the history that accompanies many of the builds. it's something that adds to the cach'e of the forum so to speak. So much knowledge, so much experience.

And for those that served, Thank you for your service.
