Welcome!

One way streets are fine unless it's rush hour.

It's ok..... just bob and weave and eventually you will get to the hobby store.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Welcome Tom!

Those sound like some great kits to get back into the hobby.  If you're talking about/working on the venerable Monogram B-17, then that has got to be one of my favorite kits out there.  A true gem!  Currently I'm working on the Revell/Monogram A-10.  In fact, I put the wing pylons on last night.  Gotta love all those 1/48 planes!

Welcome once again and don't hesitate for a single moment to pick everyone's brains!  This a great and encouraging forum.  You picked the right one to join.

Welcome Tom Welcome Sign

No worries about picking our brains, we were, and are, all there and were happy to receive help.

I'm assuming that is the Revell/Monogram B-17? That is a rite of passage kit, just like the old Revell Arizona if you were going to build ships.

Research is half the fun of this hobby.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hi, all

I am a relatively new modeler.  I did some as a kid, but that was decades ago.  I have recently picked it up again, and am having a blast with 1:48 scale planes.  Since the beginning of the year I have built an SDB Dauntless, an A-10, a B-25, and currently am working on a B-17.  I have spent more time on-line researching and learning techniques than I have actually building the planes.  Now it's time to stop being a parasite and join the community.  I hope I will be able to contribute but, for now, it will probably more of a one-way street.

Have fun,

Tom
