Long Time Listener, First Time Caller

Hey all!  I'm not one to post intro's, more a board lurker but I figured it's time I dive in head first and reap the benefits of everything happening here.  I tinkered with a few models as a kid, like most I suspect, but never had the cash or time to make a hobby out of it until recently.  I'm active USAF and getting later in my career so I have a smidge more time to dedicate and what I thought was some cash to invest into a life-long desire to get serious about modeling (Until I started buying the paints and airbrush equipment, and more paints, and more equipment, and more kits...you all well know how that goes).  My main interest is in building modern military aircraft.  My immediate goal is to build kits for every aircraft I've guarded or flown in throughout my career (a semi-expansive list that only keeps growing).  It's impressive how difficult a feat that's turning out to be.  After that, who knows.

Anyhow, long intro made slightly shorter, I'm enjoying all the wisdom I see so far and look forward to leeching much more from you pros in the future!

I'm happy to help however I can. My modeling experience may be very limited, but I've been up close and personal with just about every US bird WWII-present out there.

Welcome Jay, There are other builders on here with the same want to build what they worked on or flew in.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
