Hello everyone,
Jumping back into scale models after about a 30 year hiatus. I think my last model was a Monogram B29 back in my late teens. Back then my biggest challange was not to get Testor's glue fingerprinted all over the model and to set the decals straight. I don't even remember painting anything, just glue it up and hang it from the ceiling with fishing line.
I've got a lot of learning to do and am sure to be asking a lot of simple questions. I've got a couple of big projects in mind and may have bitten off more than I can chew at this point but I'm hopeful that in time I can complete them without too much embarrassment. The end result hopefully will be a recognizable representation of my two favorate aircraft, the Douglas A-1 Skyraider & McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. But to start, a Lindberg kit of an OA9 Grumman Goose, another favorite.
I thank you all for your help and understanding in advance and look forward to leaning on your support.

Hi Rick,
I've built that old B-29 2 or 3 times, and yes hung it from the ceiling. In fact the kits that I'm not happy with end up on the grandsons ceiling still.
Welcome to the forums, there's be much that's changed in the last several years. There are fewer builders (at least in the US) but more tools, paints and availability.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
