Well hello there!
Posted by ObiWanKenobi on Sunday, January 07, 2018 4:13 PM

Greetings! I am fairly new to modeling (started a little less than a year ago). I am having a ton of fun with it and am trying to increase my modeling skills. Just recently purchased an airbrush setup so I will have a lot of practicing to do. My cousin recommended this site and it looks like there is a lot of the information that I am looking for all in one place!! Which is fantastic! Glad to be here and I hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Welcome to the Forums ObiWan! Glad to have you aboard.

Your cousin gave you great advice. You have really come to the right place. There are many, many trekkies and star wars fans on these forums. You'll find most of them in the Sci-Fi section of these forums but a lot of them build any and all types of models so you'll find them anywhere. No matter what section that you go to, you will find members that are very knowledgeable and willing to help you with any questions/problems that you might have. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That's the only way to get the help that you need. There are no such things as dumb questions. I've been building models for 71 of my 77 years and I'm still learning something new almost every day.

This is a great hobby and I hope that you enjoy it.

( The following is said in my best "Yoda" impersonation. )

Come in, welcome. Fun you will have.... Hmm Hmmm.

Glue and paint , you will need.

Answered will your questions be.

Glue, ... or Glue not ! There is no "WHY" !

Paint on my finger's ,I have.

( I can do a pretty good Chewbaca too. )

( For those who dont speak "Wookie" I will translate. )

How did all this hair get on my paintjob ?????

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage".
