Welcome Sign RFA.

BTW you get a nickname regardless of your moniker, but it's usually based on it Wink

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Welcome to the forums, RF!

Gundams, eh?  Have you ever built any Maschinen Krieger kits, too?  I build those, in addition to airplanes, ships, and figures.

I look forward to seeing your builds!

Best regards,

Brad

Tanker Builder, they are usually 1/20 scale so again, too small to fit inside!  Stick out tongue

Try online shops like Hobbylink Japan for MaK kits.  That's where I usually get mine.  They are not terribly common in the US.

Thank you everyone for the welcome!  To the question of Machinen Krieger:  I have not built any yet, although I have seen a few starting to come into local shops for sale.  As for photos, let me figure out how to upload them.

Let's try this.  This is my custom color RE/100 Gundam Mk III.  I painted it last August and September for a local contest.  I'll post the kit I finished not long ago in a bit.  I just need to finish taking pictures of it.

Yo, TB!

I second Real G, HobbyLink Japan is a good source for new kits and kits still in production.  I get new releases through HLJ.  For older and out-of-production kits, I use eBay.

I've got only three completed builds, but I've accumulated a stash of kits (wow, that's unusual, isn't it?)  Here are some pictures, to give you an idea of some of the designs...

This was my very first MaK build, the Raptor, a kit by Wave:

My second finished kit is the AFS (Armored Fighting Suit) Mk I.  I put it in a little action diorama:

and my third finished build is the AI fighting machine, the Grosser Hund ("Big Dog"), by Hasegawa:

The original kits were produced by Nitto, and then later Wave and Hasegawa got licenses to produce kits.  Wave has released the majority of the kits, including redesigns of subjects Nitto originally produced.  Hasegawa has done mostly machines and vehicles, some of which are in other scales than 1/20 (eg, 1/72, 1/35).

They're a lot of fun to build, and a good number of MaK fans are also armor builders.  There is a lot of cross-over between the two genres, in the techniques and finishes.

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.
