thank you all for warm wellcome, I'm amazed by amount and the depth of the information collected here. For a while I ll be using most to improve myself and I hope one day I ll be able to share my experience with others.

I always fancied ww2 armor, and as I began the first one I became quite interested  with weathering. I ll try to share the first 2 ( panther and a t34) next week.

Expecting all your comments and recommendations then Smile

I have built some simple models when I was like 12

Most of my model's start out "simple" , but then I start adding stuff. Scratchbuilt this, kitbashed that , And before you know it .... a 20 part airplane kit turn's into 200 piece's of  AAAARRRRGGGGG !!!!!

( Hope this doesn't happen to you ...)

Welcome to FSM .

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Welcome to the Forums Ahmet! Glad to have you with us.

A lot of members got here on the same road that you took. I took a little different path. I started building models at the age of 6 and have continued building for 71 more years. My favorites are WWI & WWII airplanes followed by sailing ships. I also build anything and everything that strikes my fancy at the time and my wallet says OKWink.

Looking forward to seeing your models and giving you a helping hand, if you need it.

Enjoy the hobby.

There is a load of great info and great members who can help if you have any questions. I'm also looking forward to learning from you. What do you enjoy building?

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hello everyone

Hi people,

My name's Ahmet and Im joining from izmir/turkey

I have built some simple models when I was like 12 or so and used my mothers oils to paint (some crazy camos Smile) them. Thats when I got the bug. For many years after that I was cut off from modeling untill college years which was also cut early as I got married... well long story short I got back to it and its a great time to do so. With forums and videos its a great opportunity to begin modeling. I would like to thank you all now since there are loads of info that has been shared here already. I ll try to contribute like you do, as soon as I have something to share.
