My Dad Introduced Me To Scale Modelling
Posted by Banjo09 on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 11:49 AM

Hi everyone!

As a kid, my Dad used to build aircraft scale models for me. It wasn't really a hobby of his, but he built them for me since I was a fan of airplanes. He didn't put a lot of effort into building the kits, and I didn't care as long as I got to play with them sooner. Now I'm 42 and with kids of my own, I decided to get into the hobby. I started a couple of weeks ago and bought pretty much all the basic tools that I'd need. I've also been watching a lot of YouTube videos on builds to learn different techniques in building and painting. I want to learn and improve my skills which is why I joined Fine Scale Modeller so I hope you guys will bear with me when I ask a lot of questions specially about painting.

Cheers!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
