Welcome! I too am new and this is the first forum I've ever joined.
I am also a younger generation modeler (25) and have been obsessed with scale armor since June when I started the hobby back up since I was a little kid! Here in Maryland it's not too cold yet but I have Tamiya's 1/35 M1A2 Abrams on the bench waiting for winter so I can get really stuck in!

Welcome to FSM, Viper101.

Looks like you have Air, Land, and Sea covered in your model building activities. Aircraft being your favorite I surmise.   Thanks for Joining.

Extra scalpel blades are always good to have on hand.  Mine come from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0079LWFQK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

P.S.  There's a Viper101 over on World of Warships. Might that be you too?

EXCELENT! Some young blood. It's great to see the hobby still interests some of our younger brothers and sisters. The hobby has never been so bright in terms of manufacturing and after market parts.

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hello From the Flatirons!

Good afternoon everyone!

As I'm writing this, snow is falling on the Foothills and Flatirons of Colorado, the state where I call home. I'm a college student studying journalism and have been building models since I was 4 and "helped" my dad build Revell's F-15E Strike Eagle.

I have mainly built World War Two aircraft in 1/48 scale, modern jets in 1/72 scale, World War Two and Cold War era ships in both 1/350 and 1/700 scale, and a few tanks/AFVs in 1/35 scale. Recently, as in yesterday, I finished Tamiya's 1/48 P-51D Mustang (Blue-nose). I have several projects "on-deck", including four Eduard FW-190s (A-8, D-9, D-12, and D-13), as well as Revell's 1/72 Saab Gripen twin seater.

One of my focuses at the moment is modernizing my tool kit. I've got to get new knives, sprue cutters, tweezers, etc since I decidedly have enough on my plate kit wise.
