Hello,

I am a returning to the hobby guy after 20 plus years and am looking forwarded to trying again. In my younger days, I mostly built airplanes but have dabbled in armor and ships.

Mike

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the forum, Mike! In airplanes, do you have any favorite subjects and scales?  Myself, I build mostly 1/48 scale, and mostly US aircraft from WWII, but also yellow-wings era US Navy.

I look forward to seeing your builds!

Best regards,

Brad

Hi Mike! Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome back to the hobby! It's just a wee bit different now but you've come to the right place. The members here are very knowledgeable and can help you figure out which glues are which and which paints are good for doing what.

Look forward to seeing your work. Post pics of your builds.

Stay safe.

Thank you for the welcomes.

Brad-I mostly built 1/48 Navy and USAF aircraft, but I did try some 1/32 and 1/35 aircraft and helicopters.

I'll be leaning on everyone for advice as I get back into the hobby.

Welcome back.

I don't know about airplanes, armor, and ships. I build cars. But I came back to the hobby after a 10-12 year break and I was shocked at how much the hobby has changed / improved.

There are higher quality kits out there. 3D printed parts galore. New paint companies coming out with some amazing products. And so on.

Insert wise quote here.

Yeah, I build some other subjects, too.  I've got a collection of 1/700 WWII ships, again, mostly US Navy.  I also build a science fiction genre called Maschinen Krieger, armored fighting suits and machines, created by a Japanese illustrator.  They're a lot of fun!  And the odd kit that catches my eye.
