Okay, that subject line didn't make sense, but I couldn't figure out a better way to say it.

I'm not new to this forum.  I used to have an account many years ago.  It's under an email account I can't remember.  *sigh*.  Anyway...

I've been modelling off and on for years.  I just had several models damaged beyond repair from a fire in my office.  So starting up again.  Once I get a grip on this site I'll post some pictures. I'm currently working on the finishing touches on a Tamiya 1:48 Douglas A-1H Skyraider.  Having a bit of an issue with my masking peeling off my paint.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the new year.

Welcome aboard lots to learn here.

De-stick the tape,I stick it to the fridge a couple of times, removes some tack.

If your using acrylic paints, you need a good enamel or lacquer primer, and it needs to cure, not just dry

Hope this helps.

Hi Mike! Welcome back to the hobby and the Forum!

Ditto on what Tojo said above. I use Rustoleum primer and decant it for use in my airbrush. Large models I use it right out of the can. Big can lasts a long time.

Stay safe.

I think it's 3 or 4 days. Hang in there. It'll be over before you know it.

Stay safe.
