Hi from Quinny - Brisbane, Australia.

Hi everyone, my name is Quinny and I've just got back into scale modeling after ... Oh, I don't know maybe 45 years Confused

I built many models as a kid - really enjoyed it, then life takes over - you know the story Smile.

So what brings me here ? Well, I'm on the wrong side of 50 & looking to slow down a little and get to some things that I'd like to do. The missus & I have downsized the house after the kids have moved out & started thier own families - we've got a no-rush renovation going with the new place, and part of that will be my new workshop & barbeque / brewing, area - looking forward to that ... Yes

Some of my other obsessions - errr sorry, hobbies include BBQ, making seriously good craft beer Beer, gardening & when the new shed is built, I've got two old motorcyles that need some lovin. A 1989 RGV & a '78 Z650.

I used to enjoy some fly fishing when I lived down south, but it's bit warm up here in Queensland for trout.

Blah, Blah - why are you here Quinny ? Stick out tongue

Earlier this year, the family & I visited the Aviation Museum in Evans Head (Northern NSW Aus.) They have on display a F-111C - the Australian variant in camo colour. What a beautiful aircraft. As a little kid, I remember them flying over our house at night at about 200 feet doing 500 knots, probably flying on terain radar, heading back to Amberly Airforce Base - just awesome.

On sale in the foyer, was the F-111C Hobby Boss 1:48 scale model kit - the family decided I needed to build it - so that's why we're here Wink

Let me have a bit of a kick around here & try to figure out how to post some photos.

Cheers,

Welcome to FSM,enjoy the forums.

Things are divided up nicely into topics, photos aren't too difficult, but you need a Photo Hosting site like Postimage,it's free.

Do a search, that topic has been addressed many times here.

Hello Quinny!

Welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you aboard.

I started building models in 1946 (6 years old) and never quit. You name it and I've probably built it.

You've come to the right place. Great members here that are very knowledgeable and ready to help with questions/problems. Don't be afraid to ask questions, that's what we're here for.

Stay safe.
