Hello there,
My name is Mattias Check and come from Sweden. I am about to dust off my youth hobby which has been at sleep for well over 20 years. I have just turned 35 and have decided to take a deep dive into this beautiful world of modelling. I have a lot to learn. My main interests are U.S and R.A.F heavy world war II bombers as well as fighter planes. I plan to build some German too. Now, I would be glad if someone ould answers a few questions.
1, As I am a newbie, which manufacturers should I stick to in the beginning, Airfix, Revell etc? Which ones are most suitable to start off with, being a beginner and the modells/companies not being too difficult in the beginning ?
2, Also if there are producers out there, which in your opinion, are not recomendable due to bad quality etc.
3, One of my favourite A/C is the Short Stirling heavy bomber. I seem to remember Airfix made this one years ago. Is it still around, and are there other producers of this modell as well ?
