I'm in the same boat. The last time I built a kit was was back in 1983. I had nearly 200 on the shelves, my desk, in the closet, hanging from the ceiling. Most were 1/48 scale, WWII aircraft. Then came along marriage, kids, the Army, a job after the Army..... I finally realized I needed to get a hobby- and saw FSM on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. I was (re)hooked.
Some of the things I've found out:
- I still LOVE it
- My eyes aren't what they used to be
- My hand is not steady
- When the heck did photoetched hit the market?
- Enamels?
- Revell and Monogram together?
- Did I mention I still love it?
Anyway- it's great to be back doing this, even in my own shaky handed, foggy visioned way. They say you can't ever go back. They're wrong! :-)
