Howdy yourself.  I take it from the homework comment you're going to the Uni there.  I've got a prof that went through the Anthropology Dept. there.  Good school.  Not big on 48 scale myself.  Well I do have lots of kits in it but those are mostly because I take what I can get and that means a lot of R-M's from Walmart.  I am, however, wanting to build a display of aerobatics teams in 48.  Got any recs for the Swifts?  I've also got a collection of unbuilt kits for several Migs in 72.

Welcome. There are no such things as stupid questions here. Just uninformed modelers. we will go to great lengths to help you in whatever you need answers to. I also build 48th and have not ventured away yet. Cudo's on getting an airbrush. It is the single best tool to improve your models. Your choice of practice models is the perfect way to get results without ruining a good one. I do know a couple of 72 scale modelers that may dissagree but I want to see their idea of a model to practice on? what a 1/144 scale?! Those ten dollar ones were made for a reason. Ok no more scale bashing, enjoy yourself here and don't worry if you can't help answer any questions. There are a bunch of us old, fat, balding...... that never see the light of day 'cause we're in the basement modeling types here to help you newer modelers succeed sooner than we did. We had to figure all this stuff out on our own.

Relax and ask a bunch of questions before and during you first builds and when your done take a couple of quick pics and post them so we can admire your latest masterpiece.
