I found this info: The RAF model was at first named Caribou, but the American name of Airacobra was adopted in July 1941.

No explanation of my question. Anyhow I'm grateful for all the comments. Thanks a lot. I'm still waiting. Just now I have found that I had not introduced to modelers. My name is Andrew, I'm 50 years old. I live in Poland. I'm the surgeon with still increasing number of boxes of models (mostly aeroplanes). I hope to open all this boxes and make fine models in the future (real Polish future, not the floor polish). I don't have an answer to your question ... but, I am glad that you have stopped in ... checked us out ... and joined up. Good luck with your aircraft model building ... scale modeling is truely the best hobby around
