No explanation of my question. Anyhow I'm grateful for all the comments. Thanks a lot. I'm still waiting. Just now I have found that I had not introduced to modelers. My name is Andrew, I'm 50 years old. I live in Poland. I'm the surgeon with still increasing number of boxes of models (mostly aeroplanes). I hope to open all this boxes and make fine models in the future (real Polish future, not the floor polish). Ending, I claim, that the moment when I see in my post box the new number of FSM is one of the nicest among other pleasures. With compliments to forum - Andrew (ancies)

Welcome aboard.

I found this info: The RAF model was at first named Caribou, but the American name of Airacobra was adopted in July 1941.

Airacobra

This is my first letter on the forum. I have no experience yet so may be my question is ridiculous. Anyhow I have a question: what is the name Airacobra from. Why the name is not the Aircobra. Why is this the additional "a". May be it's easier to pronounce Airacobra than Aircobra. But in the other hand it's Kingcobra, not the Kingacobra. If somebody knows tell me the solution. Question [?]
