Just saying "what's up?"
Posted by Jeffrey on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 10:07 AM
I've been modelling since I was 8. I'm 35 now. I've done many models in between. Mostly 1/72 military aircraft. currently have four projects in the works- Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper(Monsters in Motion); 1/24 '66 Ford Mustang Hardtop (Revell); 1/48 P-40 Warhawk (Monogram); and a 1/600 USS Forrestal A/C Carrier (Airfix). The carrier is my first stab at ship building. My biggest frustration is finding photo etchings for this project in either 1/600 or 700 scale. I could use some help with this. Also research photos are hard to come by. Any suggestions, anyone?

Try posting your inquiry in the "Ships" forum.  I don't model ships but, I'm sure there is someone there who can help you out.

Need more help
Posted by Jeffrey on Thursday, January 31, 2008 4:56 PM
I haven't posted anything since Dec. 2006. Sorry. I'm still learning to use resources. But, I've finished my Colonial Viper and the Ford Mustang. Also, I am nearing completion of Airfix's Forrestal. Dubau wrote, "if you build it, you MUST post pics of it."  How do I go about doing that? I would love to post some my work. (Even if it still looks like novice work.)  My next "major" project is also a ship- the USS Mackinaw.

Welcome!

1/600 details are hard to comeby, generic railings ladders and if you're lucky radars but that's probably it.....
