Howdy folks, I use to model a lot when I was younger but when I got married and started my own business it took a hit on the priority list. I've been out of it for 15 years. I was cleaning out some storage and came across my pending projects, mainly the Airfix 1/24 scale P51. I had some of the some assemblies done as well as the engine painted. Long story short, I'm hooked again.
I've rigged up my garage air compressor with a reducer valve dropping the pressure from 150 to 25psi for my old Badger 200nh airbrush. Actually did some painting yesterday doing the base coat again. Checked out all my paint and cleaned out the old stuff. Amazingly not much had dried out in 15 years! Even the Tenax-7r glue I had back then is still good.
Reading here I see a lot about something called Future, finally figured out that it’s the floor polish! Wow, heading out to get a bottle now. So what else is new?
One specific question. I find that the enamel thinner at the hobby store is not cheap, I’ve learn to be cheap lately. Is there another product I can use instead of the standard thinner I can use in its place I can pick up at Lowes or Home Depot?
