A modeller is born
Posted by seevee on Thursday, November 8, 2007 4:59 PM

Gday

This my 3 and a half year old son Christopher's very first model that he made himself.  It's a screw & snap-together  SR-71 Blackbird (box scale).  I only assisted with the parts that needed a shove instead of a snap.

A fine young modeler there! Look at his hands, his hands, they're modelers hands. And if he turns out to be a surgeon or musician too...all the better.Party [party]

I have 30 years on him and his snap together looks better than mine!  I look forward to seeing you and your models skill grow!

Seevee, looks like you've got some competition.  I put my money on the youngun.

Puts my first one to shame.

Gday all

Thanks for the positive comments.  I've told my son that all the people "on the  computer around the world" are happy with his work, he is suitably chuffed.  Here is build 2, another snap/screw together job :

Junior's 3rd build, a snap & screw-together metal 1969 Dodge Charger.  He couldn't decide between the chrome & satin sets of wheels so he put a pair of each on either sideSmile [:)]

I couldn't approve of his latest build any more than if I tried! That is possibly the greatest muscle car ever built, and your boy has done an outstanding job! Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]

It's either Mopar or no car!Wink [;)]

Christopher your models look great!  I've only done 1 and a half and you have finished your third!  Man, your good!  Mark is right, have your Dad or Grandpa hold on to those for you so you can show everyone the first model you ever built when you are old like the rest of us!

I realy like the fact that you are introducing a hobby to your son. My dad was  a computer guy, it tech support, and realy dosn't have a hobby.  I  pretty much tought my self most of what i know and the tips i get from here. I'm hopeing that I will be able to do the same for my kids, and continue on with their new hobby. Im also into rc, so he/she will have some to choose from.Wink [;)]
