G'day everyone; I see there's a few Aussies represented on the forum, and now you have another.  I've been modelling only a short while and was using standard search engines to look for modelling advice when I got stuck; eventually the penny dropped and I found a great spot (here) to come and learn.  After a nagging inclination to model finally bit me a year ago, I bought and went to work on a small and cheap science fiction model.  Suffering inpatience and a type-a personality, plus an apprehension about trying new techniques for fear of making the model look worse, I gave up.  Three months ago it bit again and I've returned with (some) more patience, and to make sure I stuck with it, I dropped some cash into a single action airbrush and compressor.  I left that first model and have started on another (testors "weird-oh" novelty figure); it's taking a while, I get occasionally frustrated but I think it's gonna stick this time.  Anyway, hi everyone.  Looking around the forum, I can see plenty of cheerful, respectful people communicating with each other, which is encuoraging.  See you out there... you'll hear me ask some dumb questions periodically and in the immediate future you'll see me wherever I can get info on how to get hard demarcation lines on curved and uneven surfaces, and why masking fluid is flaking the paint where I'm peeling it off.  Happy trails everyone!
