Welcome!

Many of us are recent to the hobby after some time away. The is plenty of good advice here on how to get "back into" the hobby after a long break!

The kits, techniques, tools, and paints have all changed drastically from even 10 years ago, but that's a good thing!

If you have Vietnam era armor, then it you've got a perfect match.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums, and back to the fold Stephen!  From your list of current builds, it looks like you are not afraid to tackle what have been sometimes labeled "difficult" kits to build.  I think you will continue to be amazed at the leaps and bounds kit makers have taken over the last few years!

I just got back into modeling after a  (hmmmmm....) 30 year hiatus. I'm amazed at how models have changed since I did them. I did a fair amount of planes and cars (I think anyone who has built a car model had the 1955 Chevy that could be done either stock or with the blower...) when I was a kid and the occasional boat, but just can't get over what is out there now!!!

I bought a 69 Dodge Charger Daytona and the USS Constitution to see if it was still something I'd want to get into and fell in head first. That was about a year ago and since then I've purchased an airbrush, at least 75 different paints (because you never know when you'll need that flat Olive matte) weathering kits, various knives and snipping tools, etc. etc. etc...Now if I could find the time for them!!!

I just finished up the Revell 1/426 USS Arizona and Revell 1/48 P-51 Mustang.

I'm currently working on a Revell 1/48 P-61 Black Widow, a Revell 1/48 B-17, Tamiya's 1/35 King Tiger and the 1/350 Minicraft Titanic.

I got my kids into doing this too and am helping my 9 year old daughter with a Revell 1/48 p-38 (she assisted on the Mustang) and my 8 year old son is doing Revell's Dale Jr Bud Chevrolet.

In the pipeline I have a Trumpeteer 1/35 Chevy Nova SS, 2 vintage 1/72 b-17's a few BF109's, 2 Spitfires, another P-51, an Academy P-47 Thunderbolt and 2 FW190's (all in 1/48). I also have a couple of AMT/Ertl Monster Truck Jam trucks to do with the kids!! I gotta find more places to hide them...

I see a lot of good things here and am excited to find others who have the same passion I have (re)found. Looking forward to hearing from anyone!
