GREETING'S
Posted by QUASIMOTO on Sunday, January 6, 2008 1:51 AM

I just recently decided to get back in to modeling and I prefer to build military aircraft. Still in the process of setting up my work area. Just ordered a paint booth from Pace so as soon as it arrives hope to start modeling and look forward to exchanging tips and ideas with everyone. Just some back ground on me I am a disabled vet (army) and my shrink thinks this will be good therapy for me. Also my grandson is interested in getting into modeling bought a revell F15E to start building with him any ideas about other aircraft or armor which might be a good start for a 12 year old

A good beginner kit may be the Tamiya 1/48 scale military minatures. Why, because there's a selection and plus the suspension doen't have to be articulated, and there's not that many parts. Just make sure not to get something with a lot of road wheels. The Tamiya 1/48 KV-2 or KV-1 tanks are simpleSmile [:)], no camo, and not alot of road wheels. Plus the KV-2 had an article on building it in the last issue of FSM. Thus two good beginner kits.Approve [^]

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums.

Tamiya also makes some outstanding 1/48 scale aircraft.
