Howdy!
Posted by EDM418 on Sunday, January 6, 2008 6:19 AM
Hey everyone, glad to join you all!

I am building exclusively in 1/144, I just love seeing the relative sizes of planes and armor from different era's. My ultimate plan is to have my 1/144 airforce set against the backdrop of a 1/144 Borg Cube, which will require a wall roughly 21m sq... so... some 1/1 scale work is in the pipeline too!

Anyway, atm I am working away on some ww2 fighters and bombers, having got a little sick of modern era american jets (I think it was the purple zebra F-14 that demanded a change)

Also recently bought an airbrush off a local auction site so am really looking forward to learning how that puppy works, since it turned up without any instructions or manufacturers markings you will probably see me on the airbrush forum.

So, about me, I am 28, living in NZ and working as a mac operator, love seeing everyones work in the galleries, intimidating as it is, hope one day I'll be satisfied with one of my efforts to post it!

cheers ears

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forum EDM!  NZ! what a nice place.  I stayed in southern island (Queenstown/Christchurch) for a week in 2005 and absolutely fell in love with the place.

Cool, thanks, I'll check it out. There's some good one's on StarshipModeler.com as well. cheers!

Hey I just checked out that thread... man, people argue too much! those boys had a nice collection of ST goodies and yeh, the borg cuboid is pretty impressive, you can really go crazy with the 3d aspect to it. I'm thinking of using all sizes and kinds of pipe from stainless steel down to copper wire.

anyway, if that thread was still open I was going to post this link:

http://www.merzo.net/

or google Jeff Russell's Starship Dimensions

... it was my inspiration and brings a tear to my eye every time I see it... like, did you know that Serenity was as long as a 747??? awesome!
