I'm new to this but not modeling, although I've not built any in the last 10yrs as I drive truck and stay on the road most of the time.So i"m kinda outa touch with all the new goodies out there.

As my intro back into modeling I've decided to tackle an F4U(haven't settled on a version yet)in 1/16th scale.I've got plenty of resource material to work from but I can't find good photos or documentation relating to the retractable landing gear. How does it rotate 90 degrees as it goes into the wheel wells?Does anyone have this knowledge or able to direct me in the right direction?

Hi, and Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums!

Looked through my references for a photo of the Corsair L/G, but didn't come up with anything.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Wingnut1.....the original wingnut is hereabouts also.

1/16th? Are you gonna fly in that thing?

Not sure what your question is.....do you have the kit? Are you scratchbuildinging the gear?.....or are you curious as to how the mechanism woks?
