Thanks to everyone!

Since I want to ease into the hobby, I chose a 1/35 scale Tamiya Jeep Willys MB The kit didn't look overwhelming and I figure it was a good start as anything. I did buy several car kits to goof up, but I'd really like to stick to armor to begin with.

I need some reference for this kit, can anybody help? Paint, history, uses, etc.

btw My buddy was moving out of state, he gave me a huge assortment of paints, tools, and even some unbuilt kits. All I did was mention to him that I took a trip to the LHS.Smile [:)]

Thanks to all for the kind reply.

I can't wait until work ends today. Feel like a kid. Called my local hobby shop and the owner said he would be pleased to give me hand. Best of all he told me not to overdue the shopping. "He said buy paints and tools as you need them."  I was kind of glad that he would work on the relationship as well as the selling, I really didn't expect that kind of service.

I'll let you guys know what I choose for my first kit.

I haven't built a model since I was a teenager. At 40 years old I thought I give it a try. I love all types of kits including gaming miniatures. I love reading all the message posts, it gives me some great advice. I'm going easy on myself and my expectations are to finish the kit, not try to master the build.

With that, let me finish by saying hello to all
