Hello,

I have recently changed jobs and now have more time to work on models.  I just finished glueing a Black Widow and I am working finishing a Huey Hog.  I am excited about having time to model again.  I have three other models that to finish.

One question I wanted to pose to ya'll is the following.  Do you enjoy the glueing ad buiding or the finishing?  I enjoy the buiding and not so much the finishing.  Just curious.  I probably need to learn more about finishing.

Good luck to all....

David

Firstly, Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums David! Thumbs Up [tup]

To answer your question, my favorite part is the painting and weathering.  I do find however that as I gain proficiency at a certain task I begin to enjoy it more. Big Smile [:D]

Welcome to the Forums Sign - Welcome [#welcome].  For me, the glueing/filling/sanding is grunt work that has to be done to get to the fun part...painting/decaling/weathering.

Hi David!Sign - Welcome [#welcome] (my PC is acting strangely so bear with me!)

If you built the old Black Widow we all know and hate......you are a returning Vet already!

I'm getting back in after many years and I know exactly what you mean! I now enjoy all aspects though I used to dread airbrushing and finishing...........hang in! I think this is why we tend to start new kits while having other WIP's.

It is fun to start a new build......refreshing......and sometimes we want to avoid a painting/weathering step for various reasons.

You will be able to ask for all the building/finishing help you want here! Again Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

I think I enjoy detailing the cockpit the most. Followed by just building what ever. I like all of it realy. When you finish its both great and a kind of let down that its all over. But then you set back and look at it and smile!...........Harv
