Unimog...not many people in this country know or understand what that is. I love 'em. Use to watch the German Army put them through their paces in the late sixties...awsome vehicles. I'd like to have an RV mounted on a Unimog chasis!

Yeah, the Mog stuff is kind of an obsession for me. I just sold a 77 416 DOKA that was pretty much a ground up restoration. Got it done and came to the realization that it was the wrong truck for what I wanted to do. it's a sad state of affairs when the project takes so long to find and complete that your needs change in the meantime. The next one will be a later model sbu series truck (1300), with a single cab so I have room on the back for a nice older ten foot Alaskan camper and at least one bike.

In the off time I play with plastic............  lol

Hello all, I'm Dave from Portland. I've been building for the better part of my forty years (since I was eight or so....) though I took a break for about ten years there in the early ninties. I build primarly 1:48 aircraft and 1:24 semi trucks. I drive truck for a living, ride motorcycles and off road truck camp for fun. I'm married with no kids, three cats and a garage full of motorcycles and unimog parts..............What my wifes family refers to as "screwed up priorites".

I've just started a Peterbilt 359 daycab, single drive convertion thats going to have three 27' exterior post vans behind it all done up in Franz bread livery.
