Daywalker,

Thanks for the recommendation. The Hobby Stop is very small and is mainly focused on trains. The plasitic kits they do have are discounted a bit, so that helps. I did not find anything that I could not live without.

I did find a very nice hobby shop in Steven Point. Be sure to visit Jadeco Stamp & Hobbies on Division Street. Well worth the trip.

Thanks,

SpitfireM

I'm from the Madison area, and there are a few of them here.  Namely Madison Hobby Stop, The Last Square, and Hobby Horse.  The first is my fav- great people and decent prices.  The Last Square has quite a bit of resin and P/E (especially for armor) in stock, and Hobby Horse has a relatively small selection but a lot of paints and tools.

There are a couple in Madison, I'll let the locals fill you in on those, I don't get down that way often. The further you venture north the fewer shops (if any) and the ones that there are don't have as much to offer modeling wise.

Your best bet is to see if you can get over towards Milwaukee where there are several great ones.

What brings you to central WI?

Hi,

I am going to be visiting central Wisconsin for the next 10 days. Are there any good hobby shops between Madison, Rice Lake, Eau Claire and Stevens Point?

Thanks,

SpitfireM
