Semper Fi, Bruce

I'm also new to the forums and also from WV, however, at 63, I'm somewhat more senior than you.

I build mostly aircraft but in 1/72 scale.

There's a card model for a hanger that can be used as a template.

http://www.tomtom-net.de/resources/cardmodel/hangar/hangar_f.htm

Matador Models makes white metal cockpits and some airfield trucks.

As for Pavla's "U144-01  RAF ground equipment set WW2 part I", that makes me hopeful for a part II.  If you get ahold of one before me (good chance since I'm a student and thus generally deal hunt with Mom's money and maybe pick up supplies when I need them), let me know how it is.

Gents,

Thanks for the warm greetings. As soon as I figure out the procedure on this forum for uploading pics, I'll throw up a few "Smurf Models" for everyone's amusement.

Cassibill - I haven't seen the WWII Airfield set yet, but I'll have to go digging, Thanks for the tip.

Take it easy, Gang, and keep building..........................Bruce

Howdy, Bruce.  If you like 1/144, have you seen Pavla's WWII Airfield set?  Looks great, it's RAF specific in some ways but holds promise.

Greetings Fellow Modelers !

Well, I thought it was about time to get with it as far as Computer Forums.  Since I'm undoubtedly a "Senior Citizen" of the modelers group (58 yrs) and modeling since I was approximately 5 years old. If nothing else, what most of you consider a Historical item, I remember when it first came out ! (Some benefits to being an old codger ! )

At any rate, my main interests lie with 1/144th scale, Aircraft mostly. But thankfully almost everything is starting to be produced in my beloved scale. Plus it goes without saying it really is a Great time to enjoy this hobby....other than the ever rising prices !

Enjoy Gang, and Semper Fi.........................Bruce
