...Image Shack was free when I used it. Then came a day, it won't let me have access to it. Not sure if the free uses no longer there or they started charging...

Yeah, as of the end of January 2016, ImageShack switched from offering free hosting up to a limit and then subscription, like Photobucket offers, to strictly by subscription.

Photobucket site on my Ipad.

It's probably the difference between you Apple App and my Android App,I used to love it,so simple, but it doesn't do what it used to do.

Thanks for the info

I also use the Android app...I really like being able to upload direct to whatever album I want. On my old phone, it would only upload to "your bucket" then I'd have to get on the pc and spend the time to move everything.

A recent discovery...when I open the app...it shows my recent uploads, about the only thing I can do from there is "upload"...however, you can swipe that page to the right and you'll get the "menu".

Bakster

I just tried to post an image from the office using my work computer, and wouldn't you know it, PB crashed Windows Internet Explorer. This happens to me on two separate computers. On my home computer I use Google Chrome. The same sort of thing happens there. The PB page tries to load their adds and that ultimately locks the page, or crashes it. Usually, I have to close the page and try again. In some cases, it becomes so locked up that I have to control/alt/delete and close the program from there. The second attempt to log in is usually the charm, and I can snake my way through the garbage being thrown at me by PB. Sometimes though, it takes two to three tries just to get to a point where I can load the images.

There are no other webpages that I come across that causes the PCs that I work off of to react this way. In my mind, it is clearly something that PB is doing that causes the issues. It is pretty darn frustrating. Maybe the intent is to sway people to subscribe, I don't know. My concern with that is, what promise would I have that things would change for the better? It is a trust issue for me, before I'd plunk my money down on their questionable service.

As you can all tell...I am pretty disgusted with PB.

It's like we're the same person!Toast

Same issue for me...and I feel the same way about about paying for these same issues.

Yes the PB phone app is the only thing that is going right for the site in my experience of the last couple of years. Too bad the modeling websites that I frequent are not quite as easy to use while mobile.

Ah well...

Goodbye PB....based on MC's and PJ's comments I opened an Imageshack account.  The cost doesn't bother me, and right now I'm a super happy camper.

My gosh, I am so done with PB. On three different devices I am unable to load an image. Two different PCs and one IPad, no luck. On my iPad I could not even connect to them. This is the proverbial straw that broke my back. Either I find another hosting site, or I am done here. Sigh.

I'm watching and concurring on all of this. I guess we get what we pay for on free items. I did go to Image Shack which works and the resolution is much better. I'm happy now.Big Smile

For those of you using Image Shack, a double click on your posted picture on this site will give a super closeup of the picture. This is a great feature.
