We ONLY got about 6 inches of snow where I am in NJ, but that was a little more than I was expecting.  Given that we lost power for 12 days due to Sandy, I'll take what we got and be happy.  I think our lights flickered once.  Friends of mine in New England got whalloped.

I, too, survived The Blizzard of 78, driving home 20 miles in a 75 Civic.
Nemo is now history. We had 22 inches in the back yard and after a couple hours behind the snow blower, the sidewalks and driveway are cleared and the dogs have a maze in thr bback yard. Neither one can see over the snow.

Yikes! Man, I'm happy to have moved out of all that up in Upstate New York! ;)

Hope you New England guys are okay.We got about 14" in Union NJ,still got power.Im just glad I don't have to work this weekend.After the shoveling,looking forward to some bench time

It doesn't look that bad there.....of course, I survived the  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Blizzard_of_1978   We had white out conditions and wind chills down to -85 where I lived, north of Dayton, Ohio.

Yuck, hope you can keep the power etc on. Nasty storm!
