Too Many?

I once went to my local hobby shop and bought two models for a total of $60.  That was the biggest shopping spree I have ever done.  I even felt guilty afterwards.

Thanks guys. Next time my wife complains about the relatively few kits I have on hand, I'll show her these posts. Should stifle her for a little while anyway.

"Too many" is a phrase that does not apply to kit collectors or dreamers!

Okay, I really need to stop now.  I went to the Scale Fest 2013 show in Mesquite, Texas today and this is what I came home with:

The bad thing is, none of it is what I went there to find.  But they all had great prices, and I just... couldn't.... help myself.  Especially when the lady (who was getting ready to leave) said "Everything in this box is half off the sticker price."   That's when I wound up with a Hasegawa A6M5 and a P-38F for $20.  The rest... *sigh*.  Luckily, there are no model shows close-by soon, so I'll just have to stop browsing the internet...

Iron Eagle (2 or 3) used F-4's as Migs at the start of the show.  It was many years ago, and I remember thinking "how strange"

I don't recall all that many movies that include Phantoms in them,,,,,,,,a little bit of the one attack in  "we were soldiers", a few scenes in the "great Santini",,,,,but, mostly just some token Nape shots in this or that movie

Tomcats, F-16s,,,,those have plenty of films about them,,,,,,,,with some Scooters thrown in to fight with

Eagle90:  Yes, some of the vendors do take credit cards, especially the local hobby shop vendors.  It's bad... very bad. 

And yes, I do have pictures of some of the builds, but I'll have to resize the pictures and upload them to photobucket.  That may take a while.   Maybe tomorrow night or Thursday, depending on how busy I am.

Tarnship:  So, Rex, do you like movies about F-4s?

GAF, nice scores there!  Sounds like a real good show!  The little one here in Vermont was very cool and my first one, but at your show, THEY TOOK CREDIT CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Man, now I would have gone stupid if they had done that here!   Anyway, great score!  Did you get any pics of the builds?
