Bad Year
Posted by traveller on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 10:02 PM

Hi to all on the forum. I have not been in here for a long time, ever since late last year, my life has been a series of set backs. I have been in and out of hospital most of this year, and have moved back to my mothers place while I recover from some personal problems. I have just started a kit, the first one in a long time, to try and keep myself active. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy and safe New Year. May 2014 be a good year for you allSmile

Merry Christmas and may it be a very Happy New Year for you in 2014!!!  I'm sorry to hear about the setbacks.  That's never good.  I know that life is strange.  Sometimes the setbacks are there so that your life can go in a different direction which can lead to good things.  I know it might sound stupid but sometimes you'll only realize it when you look back on things.

Anyway, congrats on getting back into model building.  Our hobby can be a welcome return to normalcy when everything around us is going haywire.

Best wishes,

Eric

Hey There Traveller, I truely regret the trevails you are currently experiencing. I can personally relate to the misery of having life kick the stool out from under you and send you to the ground. I found that my journey out of it meant picking oneself up, dusting yourself off and setting about to doing what is necessary to find hope and success. I pray that you can reach in and find the hope you need. I am very glad you are here with us and taking up modeling. Returning to a hobby I loved so much when I was younger has been absolutely key to my recovery. And, joining the folks here and becoming actively involved has given me untold amounts joy and fun. Take it one day at a time and I am certain that things will become much more better. So, tell me what you are currently building? Maybe share some pics with us.

 Godspeed, Joe

Ouch, sorry to hear about your troubles, hopefully 2014 will turn out better.

Guess one of the things I like about modeling is when I'm 'in the zone' I can tune out everything else and forget my problems at least for an evening.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to you as well sir!

Hey traveller. I hope everything is going good for you today. I don't know exactly what you are going through but whatever it is keep your head up, shoulders back and approach whatever life is dealing you with the best possible attitude you can and only try to tackle today.........just today. Don't worry about tomorrow or what life has dealt you in the past and that includes yesterday.  I'm glad you are back into modeling again. I got back into this hobby after I had let life take all it did from me........and my family. While life aint always a "bowl of cherries" we can do all we can not to make it a "bowl of ......well you know" by approaching it with a good attitude. Hang in there bro, good times are comin' , Joe
