Major Error in Playboy
Posted by Gordon D. King on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 12:20 PM

The new issue of Playboy (March 21014)  shows the writer didn't do their research very carefully.  The story is about the Empulse electric motor powered motorcycle. In the story the writer mentions the shark mouth paint job. It states "The shark mouth recalls the one on the P-51 Mustang…" The shark mouth logo was first used by the Royal Air Force in early 1941 and later that year used on the P-40s flown by the Flying Tigers. It wasn't used on the Mustang until much later in World War II.
