Thanks for the confirmation BlackSheep.  Not the most computer literate person.  Been trying to get photobucket to work for quite some time.

Hamilton does indeed have one of each.  Going to miss seeing the Lancaster this year.

They do also have a B-25.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

I saw one in Hamilton, Ontario years ago on a business trip to GE Canada. As we taxied past, I wondered outloud if that was a Lanc. The guy sitting next to me said, "no, that is a B-25." Definitely an expert. wonder if it is the same machine?

Thanks for the info BlackSheep. No doubt they will be coming to Duxford which is only down the road from me, so I will look into that and hopefully can get some pics of the two together.

I was fortunate enough to go on board the BBMF Lanc a few years back, will be nice to see her again in company.

Bish is right. My mistake. The Canadian Lanc is scheduled to depart Hamilton, in Canada on August 4 flying over the North Atlantic stopping at Goose Bay in Labrador, Narsarsuaq in Greenland and Keflavik, Iceland before flying the final leg into Coningsby on August 8th. They're allowing themselves 4 days to complete their journey to England in case they run into bad weather.

According to the article, following a short period of maintenance & training flights, the Canadian Lanc will operate from August 14 along side with the other Lancaster in a series of airshows, the dates of which will be confirmed soon.

Where are they coming from if they're flying to England?

...but TWO Avro Lancasters are making their journey to England this summer for a series of airshows for a month in August of this year. A first in half a century since multiple Lancs flew together and share the same airspace. I'm so jealous! LOL!  If anyone is heading to any of the airshows in the U.K. post pics.

Found the article in May's issue of FlyPast magazine.
