Got the lawn mowed this morning...before it got too hot out....

Tatoos.....well....at the age when I wanted them, I couldn't afford them...also, I figured I'd probably regret what I wanted, later in life. At this point in time, there are two that I'd like. Both being on the outer side of my forearms. One would be a TBF (for my "Opa"...grampa, who was a radio op on them during the war)....the other would be a Huey, for my Dad. However, me little arms just aint quite big enough for them to be the size I'd like....and I have better things to spend my money on!

The mower was actually painted in flat OD...I added the gloss, so it would be easier to clean, and less stuff would stick to it.

I had planned on painting bigger sharks mouth...but....honestly....I got lazy. Those stickers will likely shrivel up, from the heat...if so, I will be painting bigger mouths.

Kill marks are on the left side "nose art" sticker...pretty small though.

Gun blisters...just because they aren't there, doesn't mean I haven't given it thought...those will be coming later!

Since we're on the subject...I just replaced my old 42" Craftsman rider....it was a hand-me-down from my FiL, who didn't take very good care of it...just about everything was jerry rigged...even the jerry rigs had jerry rigs! He had it for 7-8 years, and I had been using it for the past 13 years...it got the job done, in about 3 hours.

Through a friend of a friend, I snagged an old Simplicity...18 horse with a 50" deck. Saved it from going to the scrap yard. Spent about $250 in parts and this thing run circles around that Craftsman! Gets the job done in 45 minutes!!!

 

And, since we're all nerds here....I did a little custom work on it!!!

 

I got a bit lazy and decided to just leave the deck in its original orange....not attached for pics...obviously!

The wife has gotten used to the pinups... She even wants me to get a pinup tatoo......I have about zero desire for a tatoo of any sort!

 Now I like that ! If I still had need for one I would probably paint it like a Ca.N.G F-86 . Those were Along with the F-100 units , just gorgeous .    T.B.

I want to paint up my snowblower now!

One of the guys in our club fixed up his John Deere for his son two Haloweens ago as a Batmobile. The frame was plastic pipe and the body was painted heavy cardboard. It just slipped over the tractor and was held in place with a couple of clamps. The boy dressed up as the Cape Crusader and took First PLace in their contest. Last year he made it look like an F-16. Even had some kind of contraption in the rear to drop dry ice into water to make it look like smoke coming out the exhausts. The boy dressed in a pilots suit. He won't tell us what he's doing for this year.

Hmmmmmmm.........Turret with a tennis ball air cannon....that would get the neighbors attention and probably bring SWAT out for a talk and coffee/doughnuts.

That's a groovy looking ride fermis. I like the exhaust stacks and the nose art, nice touch.

My 12 HP 38" Murray is from 1995 and even though it's 21 years old, it still looks and works as a new one, specially with the addition of the Gator Blades.

Nice, 18HP R/R Merlin.  My wife wouldn't let me get away with the nose art though.  She would come back and plant a size 9 in the tail planes at about mach .75, even now

I'm the proverbial black cloud-------I live in an old mobile park and the landlord really doesn't believe in or like lawns.  Mine is 4 inches of 3/4 minus and takes about 5 hours (by hand)to get rid of anything green outside of the big flower pots the good stuff is in, since anything in the ground belongs to them.     And I even begrudge myself doing that 5 hours.  Round-up, Crossbow and I are on a first name basis with the weeds and berry briars.

You are welcome Patrick. Make sure they are the real McCoy made by Oregon. You will be amazed at how well they work. I can't wait to mow the other side yard where the Bahia grass grows out of control and raking and bagging is needed.

You need to get a herd of goats to do your lawn, not a lawnmower. LOL!
