Fretboard shredders are getting a breakless string

Gee;

 Am I glad I went the Brass route . The only thing in years I've changed on my Coronet or Trumpet is the valve seals . Oh , and the reeds on my Louisiana squeezebox .( just for fun that ! )

 First thing I ever played on the Coronet was " Flight of the Bumblebee " , Got grounded by my music teacher for a month after that stunt ! I tried Stringed instruments and the only one I could come close to playing right was the old fashioned Hawaiian Steel .

 I don't know what happened to it either ! I loved the sound of it and it seems so did my family when I practiced . You know what horrible sounds practicing children can make.    T.B. 

I use D'Addario on all my stringed stuff (Stratocaster, ukele, Seagulls, Martin, banjo, etc.). I haven't broken a string in many, many years. They have a great sound, too. I use the EJ15s on the acoustic guitar. Danged if I can remember what types I use on everything else. All my guitar stuff is packed away right now, as we're getting ready to move within a week to our new house, so I can't take a quick look to see what I use.

I have a 12 string and am ALWAYS breaking the high B and Es. I cringe when I tighten them.

 

I used to have the same issue with my 12 (long gone now), I put a little graphite in the nut, cut that problem down considerably!

I really hate having to play around with the Floyd Rose trem at string change, so a set of Willy Wonka's Everlasting Strings would be great - one set of nines, please. :)

I've got 6 Jacksons, all with the F/R. I really dislike it, as I am not into that "effect"...but I do love the double lock feature and fine tuning. The only time the "joy bar" comes out of the case is when I change strings. I press it full down, loosen the lock nut til the string pops out...saves a lot of uncranking on the turner knob! Years ago, I had a standard string through body, non locking nut type...had to be tuned up after just about every song. With the double locking F/R (once the strings are fully broken in), I can play for hours without having to retune. I LOVE that!

If they would put that nano technology into developing self-cleaning strings that never broke, never lost tone or action, and stayed in tune permanently, I might be interested in trading in my Ernie Ball SuperSlinkies.

I've been thinking of trying Ernie Ball strings on my Acoustic, but I only break strings on that when I turn the tuning peg the wrong way...
