Ah , Tojo72;

  You have hit on the one thing we all face . Some of us have no problem . Some like me , Now have old age shakes from body traumas , but I still try to do it the way I used to .

   It ain't easy . Some have to develop their own way of doing something . You probably have , like me done something your way . It worked , so it became your way to do it .

    This is part of the learning process where models are concerned . I don't do some things the way the instructions say to do it . For instance , When building planes I put the wings on BEFORE I cement the fuselage together .

    What ? you might say . I have done this for over 60 years and it still gives me good planes when they are done . I just don't like using putty or filler on wing fillets or joints .

   Plus , I always seem to get the Dihedral or Anhedral correct this way . And then there's more to hold on to when mating the fuselage halves .    T.B.

You can teach techniques for sure,but the other persons hands have to perform the task. I know myself,I can watch all the videos and read all the books that I want,but I still have to master the technique on my own,sometimes I do sometimes I dont.

Question ? Can you really teach this subject ?

   I ask this for many reasons and have come to this conclusion .You Can and then you Cannot . Why the wishy washy decision ?

  Well , think about it . Many folks like to mess with details , then they get to a point of being overwhelmed and give up . Many folks get to this point and then just get in deeper .

  I think also it happens to be an outlet for artistic folks when they realize , Whether it's scratch built or a pile of parts it is fun .

 Why is it fun ? Well that depends .Do you feel a sense of accomplishment when you are finished ? Do you see the results of commiting to a project and seeing it finished the way you think it should be ?

   If you do , you should build models of the type you like . If it's Figures , Dollhouses and the Furnishings or Ships and Planes , or even Armor . Dios ? sure why not ? I have over the years seen some beautiful dios of just about every subject .

    I just recently learned how to build trees .Yes , "Build" Trees .  How ? Out of lengths of wire and foliage stuff from Model Railroad Scenics . See ? I have been doing this for , it seems like ages and am still learning .

 Why ? it's creative . Can you teach modeling ? YES !   T.B.
