Just switched to POSTIMAGE.ORG
Posted by littletimmy on Tuesday, July 04, 2017 1:17 PM

After the Photo Bucket mess I switched to post image and it seems to be working ok. They do have some ads that pop up but nothing like PB.

At one point last night the ads all switched to "single laides in your area, or Russan girls looking for love" But it didnt cover the entire screen like PB did.

However at one point my wife came over to see how it was going and Immediatly thought I was surfing a porn site...... I had some "explanin" to do.

Dont worry about the thumbprint... paint it rust and call it "Battle damage" !

My sincere condolences timmy. Hope she accepted the explanation and things are back to normal.

Just clicked in here not expecting to see this:

             http://www.use.com/images/s_2/90132d656e27ad2598f0.jpg Love it!

Here's my rendition:

So, "Great minds do think alike".

Gee, this might be a good group build for everyone to blow off with.

It would be even better if these images could post on all the other internet forums that have been affected.

I'm getting confused.  I could not find a postimage.org.  I did find a postimages (plural).  Now, that site has a button entitled download.  Is that some sort of software to do the upload function?  I am hesitant to download executable files unless I am really convinced it is a safe site.

Wherever you went to isn't the right website. There's no download for Postimage.org.

Here's the lnk:

http://postimages.org/

You have a choice to set up your own account but I don't.

Don:  The site's webpage is titled:  "postimage"--singular--but the web address is

https://postimages.org/

--plural.

I've been using this since the pb fiasco, and haven't had problems or issues.  Been working very well so far.

Okay, here is a test.

First attempt, using what they call link.

 well, that didn't work.

Now, what they call direct link.

That seems to have worked.  Anyone not see the image?

I have not signed up for an account.  I wonder if the image will disappear when I leave their page.  If it does, I will try again tomorrow, opening an account first.

It will even fit in a quarter scale golf cart (1:4, not 1:48- I think we have put that to bed now).

Looks like you can post images even without signing up for an account, though I probably will get an account.  I did not, however, need to download any executable file!

I've been with Photoimages for a couple weeks now and have started repairing my builds and threads. I did open an account and it's been very easy and straightforward.

No advertisements yet.... maybe they're waiting for my wife to walk in...

I've been noticing the same thing. I may have to find another image host...
