I'm not sure which one to choose.

Aaaaaaannnnnnnnnd, now it looks like Photobucket's change in hosting has finally caught up with me, too.  That badge no longer shows.

Only finished one GB. It was a '50s auto build. The great Caddy tailfins were the Badge. Sorry I can't post the badge pic (thanks to PBBang Head).

RiK, no, no offical badge makers. Some GB hosters do their own, some ask if anyone else can do it. There area few like Jack who are really good at coming up with great badges. If your hosting a GB then just do your own. If your in some one elses, you can always offer your services.

Hi ;

I like the idea of those Badges .The only things I've ever gotten was a " Most popular Ship " and Best In class , Ships at an I.P.M.S. show back in 1977 . The most recent and most special . Is the Gold in Aircraft and Bronze in ships at the National Veterans Creative Arts Contest .

That one was the one that blindsided me too ! .I had taken very much time and skill in doing a hand carved Motor yacht and a Monogram " Century Series " F-100 in California Air National Guard colors and Natural Metal Finish with BMF .

These were to be goals for my Vets in class to aim for . The ones I saw graduate asked the Unit Director to enter mine as a way of the Vets saying Thank-You . That Gold medal and Bronze  medal each hang in velvet backed frames in my quarters along with the red, white, and blue ribbon they were hung with .

I have never gotten into a group build as there was always something to interfere . Gonna do it soon though  . T.B.

I thought it had the look of one of Jacks. Some great badges you have been able to produce for lots of different GB's.

Yeah, that would be me that designed both the "That's Amore" and "Steel Cats"  GB badges.  I still have that golden wreath saved and have used it on a couple  Luftwaffe type group builds.  I recall the Steels Cats badge took up a few pages in the thread as another member and I tried to outdo each other in our respective designs - good times!

regards,

Jack

To answer your question I think it was Jack (jgeratic) something like that. Can't recall. I'd have to dig up the old thread

Glad you got it sorted Eric.

Did you make those badges for the Steel Cats GB or was that some one else. There are some guys on here who come up with some brilliant ones.

Tough call. I had to look through ,my list of badges for a while before picking a favorite. I think it has to be the badges for the Steel cats GB you hosted a few years back.

For that i built the Cyber Hobby Panther with Pz IV turret.

Very nice Bish, very nice!

I tried your way and it wouldn't copy for me. Do you insert in the add images, which I tried.

There are a couple of ways to do it, sound slike you use the other one. I use that link i mentioned and from the dropdown box i select View all sizes option. Once that opens, i selct the size i want and then copy and paste.

It sound like you were useing the Share Photo option, to the left of the one i use, which opens a box and you copy and paste the BBCode.

Not working for me. I recall having to copy and delete the URL or something to that regard. It's been many months since I downloaded something.

Of the two I completed in the timeframe, the Mustang GB has to be the one.  MC, the host, had a picture of his daughter sitting on the wing of Miss America.  That was the one I signed up for, before I knew the story.  When I completed it, I sent it to him to give to her, as he said it has always been her favorite aircraft.

Gave me a chance to give a little something back to a forum friend.
