When I was in grad school one of the profs had a surplus T-28 (that was ages ago, over fifty years ago). His was a Navy version, which he said had a more powerful engine than the AF version. He loved to fly aerobatics, and would do so over a lake within easy earshot of the campus. Boy, would that thing make a racket when he really wrung it out.
