Congratulations Don. You submitted the picture how long ago?

Maybe two years ago.

Wow!!! That's crazy! I'm happy for you that you made it in and all but I can't get over the time lapse.

Bravo Don! Great looking build and well deserved to be shared with all the readers.

I'm with Joe. Exactly how long ago was it that you submitted that?

Nino

Don, I just got the mag. The FSM editorial staff can sure pick out the best stuff. That's a beautiful model of the Akron.

What's this about rotating props? Don't tell me you put some motors in there?  Powered by a Hydrogen fuel cell maybe?...lol.   I've seen the kits little propellers and motor mounts and to get them to spin is amazing.  (The magazines picture lacks detail but it looks like you made your own motor and mounts 'cause they sure look great.)

Terrific work on that old 1970's era mold of a kit. Nice find on the aerial shot of the field too.

I don't remember exactly my wording when I submitted the picture (several years ago).  I make disks showing props in apparent motion.  These are decals, made by scanning the kit prop(s), adding a rotation blur function with my photo editing software, and appy them to disks of celluloid.  Gives a great impression of rotating props.  The disks are so small on the Akron that it is hard to see, though.

I concure, great job on the airship. Very cool subject and well done good sir. Airships are an important part of aviation history and it is a shame there aren't more subjects available.

Great job and congratulations on being published.
