Yes, in the midday & afternoon yesterday the site was slow and squirrelly. But in the evening everything worked perfectly fine. I would guess that they were doing site maintenance.

Plus when you click on the photo the share button has totally disappeared so you can't get rhe Hotlink.Really  annoying!

I just shared some photos about an hour ago.  The Share button was present, both when I moused over photos at the level of the album, and when I clicked on an image to drill down and bring it into focus.

Just went on there. Most of my pictures are visible but towards the end they are not but do come back on slowly. They may be working on something or may be problems at their end.

I find the internet slow with images and video in general.  I think the increase in work-at-home is slowing things a bit.

Our images are there, that is, the files are there.  It's taking a very long time for the website to finish loading, even after the browser's progess spinner stops.

So today my Postimage is acting up.Trouble logging in once I'm in,I see albums but can't see pictures.

Yes, that’s what happened on mine when I first posted this. Check any photos that you’ve posted but can’t see in your folders. If they’re still there, they are likely doing the same thing to your account as to mine a few weeks ago.

Having-fun
You guy do not have backups? I do not trust any "in the cloud" photo services, I have 2, 1 terabyte external hard drives to keep all my photos ( I have more than 15,000). In top of than I also burn CDs and keep them in a safe place. "in the clouds" system can fail, your valuable data can be stolen, if you Internet dies your loose you connection, and you are at the mercy of the people who run your "in the cloud" system. I am a retired network engineer, trust me when I tell you I know what I am taking about.

Yeah, I'm a QA tester, who started as a level 1 support analyst.  I don't store sole copies of anything on hosting sites, or on cloud storage.  Even with a mobile, I still process things on my laptop here, and have backup copies on external drives.  I have my previous desktop machines, too, with some storage there.

I’ve been working off an iPad and iPhone for the past few years... no hard back up with those. And if I kept all my photos taken during all my projects, they would be clogged full within that time.

Yes it has hapenned to me twice and last time last week when i could not upload due to maintenance as it said on the site. Some of my most current pictures were missing so I shot them an email asking WTH was going on. A few hours later they responded with a all good message. The few pictures that were AWOL returned and all is back to normal.

I could upload during this happening. But when I went to my folders for uploading that’s when I say the “empty” labels, and found that a large portion of my photos had vanished. A heads up from the, would have been very nice.

Thanks Tim. All things considered, life is real good, in spite of some inconveniences. My guardian angel has certainly earned their wings. I’ll do my best not to give them such a hard time from now on.

Im looking forward to your armor builds. I have a few on the to do soon list.

Just takin' a wild guess at the phrase... The aviators have a unique way of turning a phrase. Congratulations on a successful career and timely retirement. After leaving the USAF, I spent three summers as a PA State Park Ranger, a position I referred to as "Law Enforcement Light". Whenever things got beyond my modest abilities, I called in the pros, in this case the PA State Police. I developed a life-long respect for them and I still remember the phone number after 40+ years!! Pulled my chestnuts out of the fire more than once.

Again, congratulations, stay safe, and I'll be needing some advice on armor builds as our national self-quarantine continues.

Glad things are re-appearing, and server maintenence sounds to be as good a guess as any.

I cracked up a little on phoenetic alphabet use.

Reminds me, I used to get laughed at a lot on the county dept I volunteered for becuase as a pilot, I tended to use the military/aviation version instead of the police version I was supposed to be using. Got a lot of mike clicking back in the day. That was a long time ago. I hear that's frowned upon now. Stick out tongue

I still use it when folks tell me to spell my name.  I say the letters first, then the phonetics.

Me too, Don. Especially during phone calls, reading back long alphanumic stuff, my email addy, etc.

On my final day of work at the beginning of this month, as part of my farewell message sent out to my coworkers, I was going to use another military international phonetic alphabet phrase to say my goodbye. But then I figured that most would not know it, and of those who did, someone would recognize the meaning and get me in hot water one final time... I was still employed for a few more weeks, even if I didn’t have to show up.

Probably a wise choice. Stick out tongue

I'm glad you are off the street. At the risk of sounding like a chicken (I think I have turned into one anyway), I wouldn't want to be. But I sure respect all the front line folks out there in every line of work that puts them at risk. I know we all do here and I'm preaching to the choir.

That message wouldn't happen to be a variation on the phrase "adios my friends" commonly used by naval (and other) aviators by any chance? LOL

Zip it! Maybe.... we shall never know...

I went to Postimage, too, after the Photobucket fiasco.  As GM said, it's free, so we get what we pay for.

In addition to being a bare-bones site with few of the features you'd expect from a file storage site-like a robust sort feature-its owners have let their domain expire, twice.  Each time, they fell victim to a ransom demand to get the previous domain back.

The second time happened after I had created my account.  There was no problem, till they created a new domain name, which meant that the previous links needed to be edited to work correctly.

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

I went and looked after his heads up. Some of the empty folder have been refilled, and other missing images are re appearing. The shock and anger is subsiding now, but Im still scratching my chin in whiskey tango foxtrot thoughts on this...

I'd forgotten I had some stuff on there from after the photobucket fiasco. I can't be sure becuase I suppose I may have had more than the 4 folders of stuff I have there, but I don't think so.

As far as I can tell, my uploads are still there.

I hope Crown is right, just a temporary glitch of some sort.
