Shipbuilders take note;

 Hi;

 Oh , boy, You are going to bomb on this. I bet. First off it's plain. It is anywhare from 8"x8" all the way down to 2"x2". I don't get used till very late in the project and then only on the outside of the Hull. I cannot be used without a partner, who's job it is to make me work. I am sold for linear treatment of things. Or homebuilt for just the one time. What am I?

Steve

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Hi, You were close. The modeler uses a Marker of some sort in a base clamp type stand to mark waterlines.
