Ya, it's an issue, especially if you live outside the city. I've been through 2 big ones in 2003 & 7. Our fire response today is way way better. But the right fire in the right spot during a Santa Ana is unstoppable....like the Paradise/Camp a year or so ago. Follow Cal Fire guidelines, pack a go bag and get out early.
