Vancouver Show - Oct 11
Posted by razordws on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 12:50 AM
Looks like I get to be in Vancouver the weekend of the big show and will be able to spend pretty much the whole day there.  Anyone else from here planning on attending?  ...besides Drew that is! Wink [;)]

Hey Bear, are you coming too?  Good excuse to visit the family ...or rather visiting family is a good excuse to visit the show Wink [;)]  The show is held somewhere in Burnaby.  If you google ipms Vancouver it will lead you to the show site with all the details.

Frank, I know the time away from your bench would kill you.  You'd be trying to model as you drive with your optivisor on.  Not a good combination for multi-tasking. Disapprove [V]

Stick Man, glad you are going.  I've got a 14 year old son and I hope to drag him along for some of it.

Bear, you are a very wise man indeed Wink [;)]  If you ever do get up this way let me know as I just might be in Vancouver at the same time visiting my brother in North Vancouver.  Speaking of which, there is an excellent LHS five min. from his house that you must see to believe... Shock [:O]

Hey Bill, I was wondering when you would show up.  I haven't crossed your path around here much and was wondering how you and the missus were doing.

I will most likely leave Friday after my wife is done work (3-4 pm) on Friday and won't be coming back until late Monday.  We're doing the whole Thanksgiving thing at my Brother's house so the whole family is going.  Not sure how you feel about spending 4-5 hrs in a car with four kids Propeller [8-]Headphones [{(-_-)}]Tongue [:P]Mischief [:-,] but there is one more seat available.  Don't worry, I won't make you sit in the middle of the back seat of the van between the two girls Blindfold [X-)] (just shoot me now!!!) Wink [;)].

Did you end up going last year?  If so how was it?  How much cash should I bring for the vendors area. Wink [;)]

Hi Dave!

Just got back from a holiday in Washington State, that's why I took so long! Four kids in a van, hmm, think I'll pass, but thanks for the offer. Having spent the past week with my own two kids may have put me off travelling with children for a bit.

The show was terrific, lots to see. Drew and I did the tour and hit the LHS in the area. You probably won't have enough cash for the vendor area, but bring as much as you can. The rec centre is across from Metrotown, so there are ATMs close by. Wink [;)]

My wife and I are doing pretty good actually. We really do need to meet up sometime. I'm back to working in Kelowna, so I don't get up to Vernon like I used to.

So long folks!

Glad to hear your doing well Bill.  I've actually been looking for a job down in Kelowna.  The current job in Vernon is okay but the boss is a bit of an issue Sigh [sigh].  If I do end up down there I'll let you know and we can meet up somewhere.

That would be cool Cam, I'm trying to decide myself whether or not to enter something.  Never done that sort of thing before so if anything it would be just for fun. Smile [:)]
