I use them for holding parts that don't have sprues, be it for painting or in some cases gluing.  Then when finished I put the garbage from the kit in the bags and toss it in the garbage.

I usually give them to small children and toddlers.

That or feed them to the various wildlife around, like ducks and such.

Oh, and I've got some oceanfront property if anyone wants it...

Yeah, I cut mine up and trash them. Occasionally I use them to hold a part while painting.

I'll tell you one thing to not do! Don't play with them! They might suffocate you, don't you know!

When I build a kit, I open the bags, then I usually pitch them. I can see where making foam packets might be handy, though...

If they are the older ones that don't have the ventilation holes in them , - They go in a drawer where my daughter uses them to put the "Clumps" from the Kitty Litter Box . Yuck [yuck] Then out to the garbage can outside..

I'm currently building a model to be sold on Ebay.  I intend to cover the model in the plastic bag and have foam around that.

Just curious, but what do you folks do with those plastic bags that contain the sprues in a lot of kits? First, do you keep the sprues in the plastic as you build, or do you take them all out of the bags? Secondly, what do you do with the plastic bags once the model is built? Do you have a use for them?
