Ahhh.. teaching something to the Doog himself my prayers are heard! Big Smile [:D]

thanks for that link, bufflehead! Now that's a kit I just MUST have! wow! Where can I buy one?

[Edit] I found a place where to buy it... but it's like 110$     Hah, still NEED to have this one..  must have.. must have...  but I wait a few months though  :)

Neubaufahrzeug... yeah. Thanks! And I realize now that the main turret was not a Pz4 one.. But I only saw one picture of it, and it looked quite much as one.. I only guessed..  I first found it at Wikipedia, under an article "prototype tanks of WWII" or something... but I just couldn't find it anymore... So thanks alot, bufflehead!

Now anyone else sign up for the GB? It's at the bottom of page 2 currently.. I even got a badge up! Big Smile [:D]

Ah yes, the Neubaufahrzeug!  Don't think its available in plastic, but there is at least one full resin kit available - from Armo:

LOL! one more that I will be late to finish Roy! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I am in agreement about the subject material. I am very fascinated personally about the 1940 campaign. The first modern power projection all arms (sea, air, land) campaign where two counties made a competing grab at a third. I may just have to add one more...

I could always join  January.  Some people set a end date some just let the build go on.  The FAA GB I'm in does not seem to have an end date.  It's all up to you, it's your GB.  You set the rules and see what happensBig Smile [:D]  In the mean time I will look for subject matter.

well, you could for sure just join in January, couldn't you?

And by end date open, you mean like, that I'll decide it later on?

For me December is booked pretty solid, I would like January but it's your build you decide, as for an end date just leave it open.  As for the badge, just post it and if people want they can make it animated, just my My 2 cents [2c] worth.

When you settle on a start date post over in the GB forum.

I'm thinking of running it from 1st December to 8th May, or 17th May.. that'll give a 6-7 month build... What do you guys think?

I am also thinking of having the badge a .GIF animated file...  What do you guys think? or would that be just stupid?

Thanks for the interest!

nice, cardshark.

Stickman, too many types of armour was used :P Mainly Panzer I and Panzer II's, and Sd.kfz 222 and such lighter combat vehicles. I know of only one heavy tank the Germans used, but I can't it's name. It was a prototype multiturret tank, where the main turret was the same of a Panzer IV. 4 was ever produced, 3 was used in Norway, and 1 remained in Germany.. Andyone know it's name?

And there were some other tanks used aswell, but none of the heavier tanks, as the terrain of Norway just don't suit them :)

But is this is the interest, I'll post a GB up sooner or later. As soon as I get my Airfix Gladiator that is, and it should arrive here very soon. so a new GB is coming :)

Thanks,

-Huxy

YES!  I surveyed interest in a number of possible GB topics a while ago, and one of my main choices was a Nordic GB.  Unfortunately I didn't get much interest though...here is what I had:

 cardshark_14 wrote:

  • Finally, a Nordic WWII GB would be very interesting. Anything from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. There are more builds than you'd think that would fit here, like Gladiators, He 115s, Do 17s, Blenheims, Hampdens, Lysanders, Buffalo, Hawks, Spitfires, Mosquitos, PT-19s, PT-20s, B17s, B18s, J22s, N-3PBs, and more!

  • I build aircraft, so I had limited it to that, but maybe you'll find more interest if its open to all types of modeling.  HTH!

    Cheers,
    Alex

    GB Idea - Norway WWII
Posted by Huxy on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 5:38 PM

thought this would be the place to ask if there is any interest in such...

A Norwegian WWII groupbuild.. Modelling everything that was in Norway during WWII, 9th April 1940 - 8th may 1945.

This may be british, french, norwegian, german and US. ofcourse some kind of proof that what you are modelling was used in Norway WWII.  Infantry, tanks, planes, ships, boats, uboats...

so is there any interest in such one?
