I know MOST of what I'm gona get.  Moms gotten into this thing where she says you got 200$ order some stuff that you want.  Its not ideal, but it works well.  Im getting a few verlinden 1/16th figure kits.  My first naval kit (an IJN carrier, pre wwii) some paints, and a 1/35 figure kit or two.  Might be more, I dont remember.

I also know they got me some kits at the flea market, but I have NO idea what. Then, there is my little thing from the secret santa that I cant wait to open

If I had to guess, I't gonna be a resin-casting kit. No definites though. I'm trying to drop hints for a WWI plane but who knows?

I'm getting the balsa, rubber-powered Fokker Eindecker from Historic Aviation.  I know it because I'm the one who's registered with Historic Aviation and my Mom ordered from my catalog and I got the email confirmationEvil [}:)]

Andy, it ain't even close! Just can't beat driving a nice twisty road with SWMBO next to me with the top down and the sun shining and that swet exhaust note in the background.

I'm really not dropping hints for anything model related.  My stash grew moderately over the year, to a point where the cupboard is full.  I have just about all of 2009 mapped out already, as far as upcoming GB's I want to be in .  I would kinda feel obligated to build anything that was given to me as a present, rather than let it sink to the bottom of the stash (as in the 1/24 Harrier I am doing at the moment- last years Xmas present from the wife)  So I wont be pissed if I dont get anything hobby-related.

I think I'm getting some reference books and woodworking tools (bases for completed kits, shelves to put them on, bookshelves for reference materials, etc.)

Tell your wife that it's never too late to have a happy childhood. Mischief [:-,]

So whatcha gonna get??

I offered this thread last year this time. To refresh: I stated that my family knows my interests well. Modeling and WWII history. Well, until this year, I never received any such gifts. This year, I figured out how to solve that. I sent e-mails with links to all who inquired as to what I might want. I know, it takes the surprise out but that's OK. So, hopefully Squadron, Spruebros and Historic Aviation will get some business from my end. My wife says I'm regressing to childhood but I blame it on turning forty this year. It's better than buying a sports car and having an affair with a young blonde (well maybe not better, but much safer). Anyway....are there any modeling goodies on your wish list??

One a more serious note: I know I act like a kid at Xmas but I'm very thankful that I can pursue this hobby and have the disposable income to do so. The state of our economy is getting worse and can be frustrating. I hope we all can remember that this season and do something selfless for others (family or not) who are not as fortunate.
